WHY WAS MY CREDIT CARD CHARGED IF MY ITEM IS ON BACKORDER?Updated 2 years ago

Once an order is placed on our website, payment is automatically charged to the original form of payment provided by the customer. We then process the order with the manufacturer, and the item ships direct from their warehouse. 

In some cases, we may receive word back that an item is out of stock. If this situation arises, we will reach out to you to let them know an estimated shipping date for the item ordered via email. We communicate this to our clients within 3 to 5 business days of receipt of their order. To ensure you receive order communications from us, please add [email protected] to your email address book.

In some cases, the waiting period for an out-of-stock item may only be a week or two. In other cases, for more popular items, the waiting period may be longer. By accepting payment at the time of order placement, we are able to secure the popular styles and colors that are not available for immediate shipping for our clients. Payment reserves the style/color for them and ensures their piece will ship before the item sells out again. 

At Wig Studio 1, we want to provide options to our clients. So, if an item is out of stock, we provide an estimated shipping date, along with a few alternate similar colors/styles for you in the event that you are unable to wait for the original item ordered to be shipped out. In addition, we also offer the option to cancel the order and provide a full refund immediately to you. 

We do not store credit card information for our customers. All orders are charged to the method of payment entered at checkout. Most items ship the same day the order is placed or the next business day. If the item ordered is on backorder and not available for immediate shipping, we will always process a full refund if you prefer not to wait or consider an alternate color/style.
